New construction of Swissgrid substation
Swissgrid, which is responsible for the transmission grid throughout Switzerland, is modernising and continuously expanding its infrastructure. To this end, a new building was designed on the existing site that meets the current requirements for a modern operations building. Swissgrid is replacing the existing open-air switchgear with an encapsulated, gas-insulated 220 kV switchgear. The entire building was equipped with a fire alarm system and various socket outlets. The entire area was equipped with modern LED lighting and safety lighting for escape routes. The order also included the installation of the control systems for the indoor crane and the groundwater pump as well as the monobloc HVAC system for the ventilation system. The offices, from which the system can be monitored and controlled, are located on the upper floor.
Aare Limmat Elektro AG was commissioned to carry out the electrical installations for the building services. The entire electrical installation was newly installed and corresponds to the current state of the art.
