Illuminated handrails in sports halls at KSWE Cantonal School Wettingen
The Cantonal School Wettingen (KSWE) is located on the monastery peninsula in Wettingen and uses a large part of the former monastery and other cantonal and rented properties spread across the entire monastery peninsula.
As part of the construction measures to improve accessibility, the entrances to the sports halls were optimised with ramps. The aim of this measure was to ensure barrier-free access and, in particular, to significantly improve usability for wheelchair users. In this context, the stairs were equipped with illuminated handrails with integrated LED lighting. These contribute to both increased safety and better orientation and support the sustainable use of the sports halls. The existing lighting was also supplemented to ensure safe and well-lit access.
Aare Limmat Elektro AG was commissioned to carry out the electrical installations. The electrical installations in question were newly installed and comply with the current state of the art.
